Eng. Leonard earned his Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering from the University of Dodoma. He began his career as a graduate engineer and progressed to a mining engineer, working with several prominent mining companies, including New Luika Gold Mine, Shanta Mining Company Ltd, AMURI Resources Ltd, and PCC Mining Company.

Eng. Leonard has extensive experience in utilizing advanced mining software such as GEOVIA Surpac, Whittle, and Datamine Studio (RM, OP, NPVS). He has contributed to numerous projects, specializing in resource estimation, pit design, Tailings Storage Facility (TSF) and Waste Rock Dump (WRD) designs, reserve estimation, as well as drilling and blast design.

A registered Engineer with the Engineers Registration Board, Eng. Leonard also holds an active Blasting Certificate (000013502) of Category B3, qualifying him for all forms of blasting on both surface and underground operations.
